Lead Facilitator, Registered Nurse, Menopause Society Certified Practitioner

Hi, I’m Janelle—Registered Nurse, Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, and The Mama Coach.

I’ve been a Registered Nurse since 2006, with most of my experience rooted in rural healthcare. In 2018, I joined The Mama Coach to help fill the gap I saw in support for parents with little ones. Since then, my practice has grown to include both Maternal Child Health and Women’s Health—offering compassionate, evidence-based care every step of the way.

In January 2024, I became a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) to deepen the support I offer to new parents navigating feeding. Then, in October 2024, I expanded my practice again to include perimenopause and menopause care, becoming a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP). I’m passionate about helping women feel heard, informed, and supported throughout every life stage.

As a Mama Coach, I use my nursing expertise to provide individualized assessments, care planning, and hands-on support. I’m also a mom of four, and each of my babies taught me that no two journeys are the same—something I carry into every consultation.

Whether you’re navigating the early days of parenthood or the transitions of midlife, I’m here to guide you with empathy, evidence, and real-world solutions. My services are available virtually, in-home, and in-clinic at Holistic Physiotherapy & Wellness in Saskatoon.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely. Many women attend solo and leave with new friends and a deeper sense of community.

Is this retreat only for women on HRT?

No—this retreat is for all women in perimenopause or menopause, whether you’re using HRT or exploring other wellness options.

Do I have to be sure I’m in perimenopause to come?

Absolutely NOT— this will be a weekend of learning about our bodies, and learning how to navigate the journey we take through womanhood.  This retreat will help you prepare for what is to come.
