About Glenna Barber
A Transformational Coach Who Leads from Lived Experience
Hi, I’m Glenna — a transformational women-centred coach, entrepreneur, and mentor committed to helping women rise into clarity, confidence, and aligned leadership. As co-host of We Do Recover Retreats at Northern Echo Lodge, I create grounded, supportive spaces where meaningful, lasting change can take root.
My work draws from a long-term personal recovery journey and years of business leadership, weaving together emotional resilience, personal accountability, and spiritual depth into every retreat experience. I am passionate about walking alongside women of all ages as they move beyond survival patterns and step into purposeful, empowered living.
I believe deeply in this truth: when women heal and lead from wholeness, families, businesses, and communities transform.
WHAT SETS GLENNA APART
Inside Knowledge, Heartfelt Hospitality
Recovery & Resilience
Glenna’s coaching is grounded in her own long-term recovery, giving her an authentic, empathetic lens that participants consistently describe as transformative. She leads sessions with intuition, drawing on the unique talents and lived experiences of everyone in the room.
Business Leadership
As an entrepreneur and mentor, Glenna integrates real-world leadership skills — accountability structures, clarity practices, and aligned decision-making — into a retreat format that feels both sacred and practical.
Sacred Space Creation
Guests consistently describe Glenna as someone who is “truly present” — attending to words, silences, and spirit with equal care. She holds the container for deep work even while managing logistics and nourishing her guests.
Unforgettable Culinary Experience
Glenna is the camp chef at Northern Echo Lodge, crafting two homemade meals daily in the main log cabin. Guests return year after year describing her cooking as “manna from heaven” — food that warms both belly and soul.
WHERE WE GATHER
Northern Echo Lodge — A Sanctuary at the Edge of the World
Recovery & Resilience
Northern Echo Lodge sits on Churchman Island, a remote, boat-access-only sanctuary nestled within the beautiful expanse of Wapawekka Lake in North Central Saskatchewan. Accessible only by water, the lodge genuinely occupies a world apart — quiet, ancient, and profoundly restorative.
The lake connects to the Deschambault River system and, by portage, to the historic Churchill River — one of Western Canada’s most storied pre-industrial trade routes, travelled for thousands of years. To the south rise the Wapawekka Hills (Saskatchewan’s second-highest landmass), known to local First Nations peoples as the Thunder Hills. To the north stretches the vast Canadian Shield. The lodge sits at the meeting point of two of Canada’s most dramatic geological formations.
Full-Service Cabins
- 4 fully electric, lakefront cabins
- Stove, fridge, sink & coffee maker
- Fireplace in every cabin
- Wi-Fi throughout the island
- Hot showers, towels & bedding supplied
The Main Lodge
A handcrafted full-function log cabin — the warm gathering heart of the retreat. This is where Glenna serves two daily homemade meals and where guests connect over conversation, ceremony, and community. Mornings on the deck, evenings by the fire.
